Anyone use a Sous Vide?

My oh wants a sous vide for his birthday. The only think he wants apparently.

I have had a quick research but I had not heard of them before this. The anova looks ok. Is that the best one?

Can anyone give me advice as I have no idea really?

We have one. You'll also really need the vac pac machine, vac pac bags and the plastic water tank thing to get the best out of it. I can see the benefit of them, for professional use in restaurants and such like, but it's all a bit of a faff for domestic use so its gathering dust now.
