Anyone been to Twinlakes Theme Park in Melton Mowbray?

Planning a few days away next week and this place has come up as a potential day out - seems suitable for our kids (5 and 8) as I'd like to do a theme park but they are too small for Alton towers atm.

Is it any good?

It's OK. Your 5 year old would love it but your 8 year old might be a bit young for it.

Maybe Conkers would be better. Not a theme park but great for kids.

Yes, its ideal for the 5 year old but if your 8 year old is a thrill seeker they might find it a little too young for them.

If they are not real coaster fans then they will probably love it.

I think its a good value family day out (though I havent been for several years now my DC are older).

Conkers is a great day out for sure, all ages enjoyed it there.

The 8yo hasn't really done any theme park rides yet - I can't remember her going on any of the big rides when we went to Flamingo Land last year.

Conkers looks good - but very similar to what we have nearby, a forest day out/play areas rather than a theme park.

I'll add it to our list, but am looking more for a theme park.

Sundown Adventure Land might be a bit better for your 8 year old?
