Rotten Eggs

I've just come up to go to bed and my bathroom/landing smells very strongly of rotten eggs. I also thought I could smell gas. I do not have gas in my property. I've got myself worried and don't really know why. Does anyone have any clue what it could be? I'm winding myself up imagining gas explosions which is ridiculous as there is no gas. What else could be causing the smell? Bathroom / toilet is clean but it's such a strong smell

coming up through the plug holes ? maybe they need cleaning (I don't mean your dirty) maybe they have a blockage.

We had the disgusting sulphur rotten egg smell in our bathroom.
It was sewer smell from a blocked vent stack that’s on the roof. It was fixed by putting the power hose down the vent to flush away whatever was blocking it.

If you've got a bidet you don't use, you need to run water down it occasionally to stop the trap drying out and letting smells up the pipe.

Did you have torrential rain today ? Possible sewer blockage nearby.

Its probably drains but if the smell is strong outside of your house, call British Gas and ask them to check to see if there's a leak.
