Don't drink and eBay...

I have just placed a bid on something ridiculous (for me anyway) and am currently the higher bidder Shock(ends in 4 days so time yet for me to be off the hook...)

It's not so expensive that I can't afford it, just more that it is definitely something I don't need but more than a quick treat and not sure I can really justify it to myself if I remain the highest bidder. (It'll be fun though!)

Please make me feel better by telling me about stupid bids you have made and whether or not you won the item.

Or feel free to guess what ridiculous item I have bid on Grin

Hello and on a similar
Note,

Just sayin for a friend who is open to offers Grin

I drunk buy books for my kindle. Sometimes I get confused and a real book gets delivered a week or so later.

Drunk me has eclectic and sometimes questionable taste but I am now the proud owner of a hardback biography of one of the two fat ladies, it was really interesting. It turns out if you drink enough G&Ts the quinine can help protect against malaria.

I used to drunk ebay! Set yourself a limit (£5 used to be mine as I was skint) and see what wonders you can find for that Grin

Loads of people watching (quite possibly all MNetters...) but I am still the highest bidder.

I'd been -drunkenly- idly eying up a set of Northumbrian pipes earlier so perhaps a saxophone is better overall

I only have neighbours one side, so that'll be okay @Witchend, but my family will be somewhat surprised!

Drunk ebook buying sounds like the modern secondhand book shop search

At least as a bubble machine it would get some practical use @Puddlepop. Watch out for a thread in a few weeks time asking for alt uses for a saxophone!

This was nearly me... on a clarinet. I want even drunk. I'm fine in the day time, Impulse late at night

TyneTeas · 16/08/2020 23:15

I wasn't even particularly excessively drunk, just enough to make a saxophone seem like a good idea!

I do drunken eBay, but I also have this problem when I’m tired! I bid on random clothes that I don’t particularly like, and don’t remember the next day!

TyneTeas · 20/08/2020 17:00

I have been outbid, am mostly relieved and only a tiny bit sad Grin

TyneTeas · 20/08/2020 19:27

@TyneTeas

A family member had a stuffed Cayman when I was little! *@CleverCatty*
LOL. It wasn't us!

This one was in a farmhouse years ago in country where we used to stay, DB saw it as a 7/8 year old child and they gave it to him... no idea if they shot it or not, the woman who stayed there had relatives in St Lucia (white woman, not that that makes a difference!).

my DB then about 2 years ago just before his DS was born for some reason bought another larger Cayman rather than e.g. a rocking horse for the baby and hid it on a shelf so his DW wouldn't see it immediately... LOL
