Towel/wrap for after swimming

My sons swimming lessons are restarting in September. They will be leaving straight from poolside so I need something to wrap him in to get him to the car (and decent waterproof slip on shoes) he can be shivering in the changing rooms after swimming so it needs to be warm and drying... Any recommendations he is 8 but on the small side...

Last summer I got some towelling changing robes from amazon. Like a big towel long dress with a hood. Really thick and warm.

Do you know the make? There are so many on there...

The one I got was 19.99, it’s 24.99 now. The make was adore. It’s heavy, but warm and thick towelling. I got them for using on the beach and changing in. But they were good.

I have a micro fibre Toncho hooded towel for after swimming, I think you can only get them through amazon. It does dry me off awfully fast. Packs down small too.

FWIW I have a thick hooded towel for the beach but that doesn't dry me as fast. It's more to keep the chill off.

Thank you @DobbyTheHouseElk

I think warmth will be more important than drying quick but who knows?? As I said he gets cold going from the pool to the changing room (actually shivering and teeth chattering) so who knows how bad it will be going directly outside

I’m an outdoor swimmer and I have an adult version of this. www.decathlon.co.uk/kids-poncho-550-etni-id_8574511.html

I would recommend him whipping his wet shorts off underneath this, get a woolly hat on ASAP if he’s shivering.
I have a full dry robe to go over the top of my poncho but that feels ott for coming out pool.

Ds and dd have just returned to club swimming and lots of the kids have like the link above or a onesie. I'd add a big fleece blanket in car for when it gets chillier too.
