Birthday Party 5 months after Birthday?

So my DD party never happened because of..you know what!
Soft play venues are now reopening, and i've enquired about the Bear N Play party, i booked for last April. The venue have offered 3 free extra places, and i can book anytime in the next 12 months. My worry about leaving it until next April, is that my DD will no longer want this type of party (she'll be 8 then). Thinking of having it in September, whats everyone's thought on this?

I don't see any reason not to do it, is there something specific you're worried about? You can have a party for whatever reason you like or no reason at all. Or is it something to do with Covid?

Nothing to do with Covid. Just wondered what other parents would think about their child being invited to a belated party.

I think it is fine. My DD turns 5 soon and has never had a party. She asked for one all this year after attending some betwen her birthday and lockdown and I promised she could. If parties are a no when her birthday arrives, I will throw her one a few months later.

I can't speak for anyone else but I wouldn't give it a second thought however I've been on here long enough to know that lots of people have weird ideas about all kinds of things Grin
