Having a proper rubbish day

Woke up with covid symptoms so had to call in sick to work. This will push my sickness to the point I'll be on my first formal warnings (other sickness has been due to severe mental health issues) went to get a swab in a boiling hot car that doesn't have air conditioning and you have to (understandably) have your car windows up the whole time you're there. As I have a temperature too, the sweat was dripping off me. Then I tried to cook myself some lunch, dropped a scalding hot pizza on my foot so now have a nasty burn. And then my SIL had a massive go at me for having covid symptoms because now she's worried about her and her kids.

Sorry you are having such a rubbish day. Surely work will understand, if the alternative was potentially infecting the entire workplace with Covid? Ice and rest for the burn. Why is your SIL blaming you for having symptoms?

Because she's saying now if I do have it I've passed it onto her and her kids.

But how is that your fault? You didn’t know that you might have it until you started symptoms? Have you been breaking lockdown rules? If not she is just being unreasonable.

Oh no, now I feel bad! It's actually not my story, it's from another current thread. Can't remember the title...something like 'my life is fucked'. Poor, poor OP has had a really bad time of it, broken marriage, dumped by boyfriend and all sorts of other serious woes. She was given an hour or so to herself by her dm and so took herself off for a swim to clear her head and in her words "got bitten by a cunting seal". It's a serious thread but that bit is so funny it completely derailed it 🤣.
