Is there a market for 70’s Vintage /retro ( horrific Tat) ?
Found it in a cupboard at my late Fil’s house. They were there for 50 years and never threw anything away. We found a seating plan for our wedding - in 1985. All Utility bills since 1971 ! Every wardrobe and cupboard is full and even though we helped him clear out the loft about 10 years ago, there were 12 boxes of ‘stuff’ up there too 😱

Any offers for this beauty?

I like that 🤷‍♀️

I quite like them Blush. I've got a few of my mum's late 60s servers/casserole dishes - they're a white/green/turquoise colour scheme though which I like better than the orange/brown.

I like the retro quirky look Op Smile

FourEyesGood · 13/08/2020 12:09

I like it too!

Palavah · 13/08/2020 12:12

Yes, it's all the rage along with cane furniture and marcrame wall hangings. I'm not even joking

Mum asked me-yet again-what I wanted from her house when she dies. I want nothing. I don’t have room for more furniture, nor do I like her taste in sentimental art. She has kept everything people she met even briefly has given her-tourist tat wall hangings with shells/sand, everything. I don’t know why she has given it wall space. The kitchen is covered in tat (IMO, some people might like it). Because I live 5 hours away, I told her that I would need to employ someone to clear out the house. I can’t take off time during the school year to do it.

I love it! There's definitely a market or just send it to me

MrsJemimaDuck · 13/08/2020 13:34

Somebody is going to love that.

Searching the image on Google indicates that the pattern is called Madrid, by Meakin, but sadly no, it's not worth very much, few quid tops.

Yes. I’m what’s known as a ‘plate turner’ 😉
Born and raised in the Potteries, we look underneath all china/crockery to see where it was made.
DH has insisted on having this monstrosity
I’ve drawn the line at the multitude of toby jugs and doulton figures.
