7th birthday party ideas

Dd is 7 soon. We are hoping to have a small birthday party for her in our garden with 5 friends. They are all back at school in the same class before the party.
I’m after ideas that could make the party special/different and a bit more grown up than the usual party games. She’s had a very tough time recently and to top things off our cat has just died which Dd has taken extremely badly.
I thought about hiring a hot tub/jacuzzi for them to lounge around in for some of the time but it won’t work with the garden space.
Any other ideas? I don’t mind spending a bit, but can’t justify £££s.
Or suggestions of games that are a bit more grown up than musical statues etc.

TIA

Get some craft kits? Make a bath bomb or paint your own mug or something - Baker Ross seem to have a whole load of stuff

Thanks merryhouse! Really great suggestions. Love the idea of a boules contest followed by something crafty.

Dd suggested a treasure hunt but I’m not sure I’d be able to make a very good one.
I like the bowling alley idea. And T-shirt’s would be a good craft idea. Thank you!
