I am one of the many who have dusted off my old bike and am planning to use it much more - mainly for exercise but also local journeys as the traffic on our main roads in my part of London has increased horribly due to our council's so-called "Quiet Streets" scheme - but that's another story.
The pandemic has left us very badly off as a family. My dh earned nothing for 3 months. So I was really grateful to hear of this £50 voucher scheme to pay for bike repairs and servicing. I've just looked on the Govt website - and guess what, all the first round of vouchers have gone already! Do we think there will be more of them? My local repair shop accepts them but I can't get hold of one and I don't want to pay full price for a service if I don't have to.
Do you think I should wait to see if more are issued?
