Wardrobe malfunction - does anybody else have this?

I always get lots of tiny little holes in my tops in exactly the same place. I assume it’s from where the material constantly rubs against the course material of my jeans, shorts (anything with a fly/button fastening).

I’ve had it since I can remember. DH just commented and said it never ever happens to him. So am I the only one?

Me too! Thought I was the only one!
It's so annoying and I have no idea why it's happening. Definitely not the washing machine as it doesn't happen to anyone else in the family.

Same here!

Same here. It happens to my husband too.

Tell him he obviously doesn't spend enough time at the kitchen sink. I think mine are from where I lean against the worktop when doing the washing up and the material rubs against belt/button.

Yep loads. Almost all of my tshirts annoyingly, and they're not worn elsewhere so I keep them and just wear them with holes

There have been threads on this before, so you're definitely not alone.

MilkItTilITurnItIntoCheese · 13/08/2020 09:42

Yep me too. I agree with poster who said they think it’s from leaning on work surfaces. Although recently noticed that one t shirt did it in one day of wear when I really didn’t do much in the kitchen! It’s so annoying.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 13/08/2020 09:43

Yes. I suspect that it's not helped by many tops now, including expensive makes, being of quite thin material that probably doesn't have much stamina. I tend to reject thin stuff, as A) I don't want anyone to see my bra through it, and CBA to faff about with a camisole and B) I'm a certain age, and prefer organic cotton or similar. Grin

I've seen adverts for these little silicone button covers that are apparently meant to stop this phenomenon that I have never experienced but how useful they are i've no idea. Worth a punt though

Good to see it’s not just me!!
