Moving to Suffolk - help!

Planning a move to Suffolk, looking at areas around Botesdale, Eye, Thornham Magna and Walsham Le Willows. Need advice on high schools mainly. Would prefer Hartismere catchment but WLW comes under Set Ixworth school. Can see it was failing a few years ago, can anyone shed any light on how it’s doing now, have spoken to a few locals who said they wouldn’t be sending their kids there due to its reputation, just a bit confused as exam results looked good..

Children from walsham tend to go to ixworth or Thurston college. Thurston is s very big comprehensive.
Ixworth is much smaller. Exam results have been good but they only opened 5 ISH years ago and they have very rapid changeover in staff. All the students I know who went there when it opened left around 2 years ago to go to other schools. It sells itself as being strong academic GCSEs, wearing blazers, eating a proper lunch together etc. Locally it hasn't got a great reputation but they seem to be trying to work on that.
Thurston is the other option. Big. Truly comprehensive. Relaxed school uniform. Wider range of GCSE options.Has its own in house psychologist and tries to focus on mental well-being. Average results. But transport is no longer provided so you would need to organise with others/ pay.
Hope that helps a bit.
