The neighbour's dogs

So my immediate neighbours have two dogs, they seem nice (the neighbours and the dogs). One of the dogs is a spaniel who appears to be really sweet but the other is a cross breed that is a bit more vocal shall we say.
We've all been stuck wfh for months but their cross breed, before during and currently barks at the slightest thing that goes past the back gate (which in fairness is a long way down their garden). When he does they call him back in, his recall isn't amazing at all, but they get there eventually. This can last for up to 5 minutes. They're not ever up past 11pm, most nights all lights off by 10 at the latest.
Anyway, when he does bark he is incredibly loud, he probably does it 3x a day and it's so annoying, like I can't relax in my garden at all because I'm on edge that he'll do it.
Is there anything I can say? Or do? I feel like I'm being really unreasonable because it's not that bad or often however I just can't tolerate the noise. We don't have any pets or babies, just a slow old cat.
Should I just shut up moaning to me and hubby about it??

So its 3x a day upto 5mins of barking & the owners are being proactive in calling it back in when it happens even if dog is slow to respond. Not sure you can reasonably expect the dog to be silent all day any more than they may wish people didn't pass their gate for the dog to alert them to.
If it was barking all the time or whenever your out in your garden then I think you'd be reasonable to raise complaint.

Dogs bark sometimes. Deal with it.
I could understand your frustration if it was all day every day but it doesn't sound like much at all.

I really don't think that's excessive. Dogs bark - it's how they communicate.

They seem to be responsible owners. I've had to live and work near dogs that are left to bark all day.

Have you had more serious trouble with barking dogs in the past? That can easily sensitise you to the noise. The sound of a cock crowing still pisses me off even though our immediate neighbours got rid of theirs several years ago.

But you know this dog will pipe down again soon enough.

Thanks all, think I was just a bit tired and cranky last night, it's really fine, guess we've all just been in the garden a bit more than usual haven't we!!

Three times doesn't sound excessive. I'd imagine you are also less likely to be burgled - think of it in those terms.
