Is this cheeky?

We are looking to move soon, we just need to sort a few bits in our house then put it on the market. A house nearby sold a few months ago but the buyers pulled out and the owners took the house off the market.
Do you think it would be cheeky to ask the agents who it was up with to contact them and ask if they are interested in selling? I don't see there being any problems with us selling ours as they are flying off the market as soon as they are up! I don't know if this is the done thing and don't want to come across as pushy and forceful!?

couldnt you just put a note through the door, saying you are interested in properties in the area?

Yep, put a note through - they may avoid estate agent fees if it's out of time bound period to pay fees, you could split that !

You'll definitely do that! I am kicking myself we didn't go for it when it was on the market last time!
