Orbit chewing gum in strips - anyone know if you can still buy it in Germany or anywhere else?

I was wondering if anyone knows if you can still buy this Orbit chewing gum that comes in strips rather than pellets in Germany (or anywhere else for that matter)? I have something wrong with my metabolism and can't eat a lot and this stuff used to really help me resist food when I had cravings. Then they took it off the market in the UK and replaced it with those crappy pellet things that I just don't enjoy. I just googled orbit strips to see if they were still in existence anywhere and you can buy them on Ebay from a German seller but they charge about £20 a packet for postage and packaging. I can't afford that but if I could go to Germany or anywhere else with a few empty suitcases I'd be bloody delighted! They also helped so much with concentration when I was studying for exams. Used to go through about 25 packets a day!

Have you tried Eastern European supermarkets? I’m sure I’ve seen in them.

wearingmyhousedress · 12/08/2020 17:57

No, I haven't been abroad in years WrongKindofFace but that sounds promising! Which Eastern European countries can I ask?

OP the previous person ment that if you have any polish or other eastern European supermarkets local to you, it might be worth trying in there for the chewing gum, not that you actually need to order directly from Eastern Europe.

Yep, Kpo58 got it. Sorry, I probably didn’t make it clear.

Ah, ha ha, thanks for clarifying! I'm fasting today and my brain isn't functioning at full capacity!

Yes Lucked but it costs £20 or so for a pack of 5, most of it postage and packaging.

What about the wrigleys Chewing gum? That used to come in strips and seems to still be available?

Kpo58 · 12/08/2020 19:01

@OP the Amazon link is actually £13 for a pack of 12, unless you aren't in the UK?

Oldandcobwebby · 12/08/2020 19:07

Thanks a bunch. Now I've got the "Get into Orbit. Orbit sugar-free gum" advert in my head. Arrgh!

No, it's £12.98 for 12 packs and FREE delivery. Just follow the link.

Oh wow - you're right! Sorry, I didn't open the link thinking it was on Amazon I'd found them myself but it was Ebay and they are indeed much cheaper! Best thread ever - I think I may be able to afford that kind of price. Massive thank you to Lucked. Just broken my fast. Brain was even foggier than I'd first realised! Grin
