Job loss - Any accountants etc help please?!!

DBro has been laid off along with 6 other workers due to company not doing well. Company is set up as a private director (and his stay at home wife is the other). They go on holiday and are always splashing the cash. Something smells off to me.

I can see accounts on internet.... do they look in order, I have no idea but doesn’t suggest they are struggling enough to lay off?

I work for a normally profitable company. Sales between April and June (the quarter we have just done accounts for) were only 25% of what they should have been.

They are starting to pick up again a bit now, and we are fortunate in that our customers paid their invoices but if they hadn't, we'd have been up a creek without a paddle in a very short space of time.

Accounts are always backwards looking and even if a company is doing well it doesn’t mean they need your brothers services. It is shit tho so I hope he finds something.

Also you can’t really tell from these sorts of accounts what taxes are due and have been paid. Tax returns and computations are confidential.
