OMFG. Just had my first interview in a long time for a teaching assistant job. It's at my daughters' school so knew all of the people doing the interview. Was via Zoom. That was the first problem. Speakers were on mute so for the first 2 minutes I couldn't hear anybody. After finally fixing that was totally flummoxed. From thereon in just got worse. It was like I literally lost the power of thought and speech. All of the questions were reasonable, no trick questions or anything, but I just couldn't think of a logical response. May as well have been answering in a different language. Now I have to face all of these teachers in September when I've made a complete tit of myself. They must think I'm an total eejit. Has this happened to anyone else? How can I recover from this humiliation. Feel like I want to go round in dark sunglasses with a stick-on beard for the rest of my life. Anyone got any crumbs of comfort for me?
