M&S at Ocado

Starksforthewin · 11/08/2020 20:34

Just a heads up, September delivery dates are now opening up on Ocado, and the M& range is live for delivery.

I’m very pleased as there are a couple of M&S products I buy regularly, and now I can add them to the weekly shop for delivery.

Seems to be the full range from what I can tell from a brief sample.

Been on for a few weeks

Overpriced crap, high on artificial additives

Just put m&s into the search

Polnm · 11/08/2020 21:09

And Ocado have been advertising it endlessly for weeks through Email and do hardly a secret

Don’t buy Waitrose blueberries but m&s blueberries and all that crap

HaggisTheGreat · 11/08/2020 21:31

@Starksforthewin what are you planning to order? I don’t usually shop at M&S but would be interested in trying some new things in my ocado order.

Oly4 · 11/08/2020 21:33

I can’t wait. I love M&S food. And I don’t buy the additives crap.. I think their fruit, veg and meat are second to none

Starksforthewin · 11/08/2020 21:46

Yes, the products have been on there, but ‘greyed out’ so you couldn’t order them until a Sept 1 delivery date.

There is a lovely, sugar free ginger drink that I buy and now I can buy it in bulk and in bigger bottles which works out cheaper.

Their frozen mango is also great for smoothies and a good price.

Their fruit is the best out there. So are the crisis.

Hifi · 11/08/2020 21:47

Crisps ffs

123456abcd · 11/08/2020 21:51

Are they including Percy Pigs in delivery optionGrin

Polnm · 11/08/2020 21:53

Where do you live?

If in the north/y&h Fruit from Delifresh wholesaler who started home delivery during cv19 is much better

I have Waitrose and 2 m&s within 10 minutes walk, rarely go to m&s as it is fur coat and no knickers- no good to cook from scratch really

Hifi · 12/08/2020 14:19

Polnm I haven’t found any other retailer where you can eat ripe plums, peaches, nectarines etc. They’re either hard or sour everywhere else.

Starksforthewin · 12/08/2020 20:00

I agree about the fruit and fresh vegetables. Perfect produce and last for ages in the fridge.

No additives in fresh fruit and veg, are there? 😀

Totally agree. Fruit and veg lasts ages and is bloody ripe when I buy it. Amazing. Can’t wait. I also really like their bagged salads and fresh mango slices

ElfDragon · 13/08/2020 19:16

M&S fruit & veg is fab. Very high quality, ripe and ready when they say it is, stays fresh nicely.

(Funnily enough, as a student I worked in a fruit sorting and packing plant. M&S consistently wanted the highest quality, followed by Waitrose, and then on down the other supermarkets).

I do like shopping in M&S for food, but I will also miss a lot of Waitrose products I have bought for years.

I may trial a fortnightly approach - Ocado one week, Waitrose the next - to keep on top of the products we like from each.

OxanaVorontsova · 13/08/2020 19:21

Agree with PPs, M&S fresh fruit is fab, also find their meat easily equal to if not better than Waitrose and the deli stuff is a much better range. Seems to be pretty much like for like from what I've seen.

poppym12 · 13/08/2020 19:29

I'm undecided whether to carry on with Ocado simply because the only bread that everyone in our household likes isn't available via Ocado/M&S. I don't often buy prepared food but I do tend to choose the Waitrose over Ocado version of things such as peppers due to several rotten Ocado ones in the past so it's good to hear that M & S fruit and veg is good.

ElfDragon · 13/08/2020 19:52

I haven’t been impressed with the Ocado versions of fruit and veg when they have been subbed in (ripe and ready not at all ripe, veg going rotten very quickly, meat not as good quality etc), so I don’t really want to try out much of their produce. M&S is a known quantity quality wise, as is Waitrose, so a I think a mix of the two deliveries will be the way forward

Ellmau · 06/09/2020 20:31

Warning if you were hoping to enjoy M&S ready meals from Ocado.

They have changed at least some of the recipes, adding spices to the chicken dishes and making them taste much much worse.

Don't know what else they might have changed.

So disappointed.

KenAdams · 06/09/2020 21:32

My first order arrived today. The only thing we've had from it so far is the £10 pizza meal deal and we were seriously impressed. One missing item too which in a first M&S order wasn't great. Free Percy Pigs were horrible - wtf did they do to Percy Pigs?!

Oly4 · 06/09/2020 21:35

I’ve had my M&S delivery and the whole roast chicken is bigger and better than the Waitrose version for the same price. We’ve also had their delicious curries and got all the ripe fruit we like.
I’ll miss some Waitrose bits but I’m more than happy with M&S quality

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 06/09/2020 21:37

Meh

I miss Waitrose

I'd never actually do a shop at M&S-just go for bits

cheeseycharlie · 06/09/2020 23:01

Doesn't sound like a legit post to me OP, more like a promo...
I love Ocado for their customer service and user friendly app, but afraid I'm orf to Waitrose online so I can get the food I like best. M&S has nice fruit n veg but it's overpriced and there's nothing else there I like.

A promo? 😂

Christ she's playing the long game then because a quick look shows she's been posting under that name for almost a year about all sorts of non ocado/M&S stuff.

cheeseycharlie · 07/09/2020 05:32

I retract! Blush
