Meals when it's so hot

I'm just melting, I'm sure most of us are.
I really don't want to cook any more this week, I cannot stand it.

Thinking of not ordering our usual Gousto and finding an alternative.

We don't want sandwiches as that's our lunch most days.
I've just cooked dinner and am hot and bothered and fed up.
Desperate enough to just order a tonne of party platters and live off that all week.

Any other suggestions? How do you all cope with it?

(Honest) Stealth boast as I've been scuba diving a few times every week for the last couple of months but I'm living off crab and lobster Grin perfect food for this weather.

I see your Waitrose and raise you Nature!

We are doing a lot of salads - yesterday was blue cheese, pear, rocket and walnut, today was minted potato salad, parma ham, raddish, lettuce.
Also have mozzarella, parma ham and grapes / peaches and salad with lettuce, prawns, egg, cheese, spring onion. Tonight had lamb kebabs wih onions and peppers and sweetcorn.

My kids ate dinner at their fathers house, i just had crisps and a cuppa soup for dinner, too hot to eat properly. Today going to make potato salad and grilled chicken, grill takes less time and going to make the potato salad up this morning as i can't sleep in this wretched heat😭

Agree about prep cooking early in the morning when it’s cool and the windows can be open. Also just before the hot weather started I roasted a beef joint which we then had cold for a couple of nights. Things like couscous just need boiling water added to them and you can make a salad or tabbouleh

I made a ‘charcuterie’ platter with cold meats and cheeses, gherkins, bread sticks, hummus and cous cous.
