Where there are seasonal or time restricted "no parking" areas?

Can blue badge holders park here?

Are there any lines onthe kerb? What road markings are there?

Deardonkey · 10/08/2020 16:47

Look on that councils website as I think it can vary council to council.

No, nobody can park on a clearway during its hours /days of operation, a car with a passenger displaying a blue badge can stop for dropping off and picking up only.

Thank you. Single yellow line.
I took a very very elderly neighbour to an appointment today and she bought her blue badge but we couldn't park in any spaces anywhere close enough for her (very close to the beach) and she got herself all worked up and couldn't remember the rules for her badge.

www.gov.uk/government/publications/the-blue-badge-scheme-rights-and-responsibilities-in-england/the-blue-badge-scheme-rights-and-responsibilities-in-england. This is a handy page to bookmark in your phone if it's likely to happen again? Otherwise your local council will have a page for local rules (for example my city allows parking in resident bays but many don't)

Thank you that's really helpful I will save the page incase she needs help again.

I don't think it'll be a regular thing we've only met a few times to exchange pleasantries but she was outside very distressed because a taxi hadn't turned up and she was very late but helpful to have the info to hand incase!
