Just been chatting to a former colleague. She's HOD in a medium sized comp and they have had some provisional plans issued. Anyone else had anything yet?
(I have altered unimportant details so she isn't outed, I've posted with her permission)
School starts 8.40 - 9.10 The years arriving at 10 minute intervals. Those arriving outside allotted time may be sent home if it's persistent.
Two lessons in the morning with a staggered 10 minute break between before staggered lunch breaks. Only half an hour for lunch.
Children meant to wipe down their tables before eating a packed lunch in the classroom. No hot dinners to start with.
Dinner ladies supervising while teachers have time to go to the loo and get a hot drink.
Two lessons in the afternoon before staggered closure beginning at 2.30. School emptied by 3pm to allow for deep cleaning.
She will have to move from class to class. Teachers who remain in their subject rooms (eg labs) will have to supervise children wiping down benches between classes.
There will be flexibility about uniforms because parents are expected to wash them every day, so blazers no longer compulsory. And a blind eye turned to minor transgressions.
All teachers can wear masks if they choose to and can request that children do as well. But only request.
The HT asks them to prepare some online lessons because she thinks there may be closures or some classes unable to attend because of staff shortages.
All subject to discussion and review, of course. I imagine this will be the standard format. I think it could work.
