Dd like many others will be getting her exam results next week.
I am putting together some little presents in a nice box for her in advance so she has something to open, as a well done. Obviously we don’t know how she’s actually done but I think it’s a nice idea Grin
Some people give money, I think dh has said that he wants to do that, Some People send a card with a note, some people just say well done, everyone is different, I’m sure there will be someone saying I shouldn’t buy her anything blah blah blah but I have.
We have also booked her favourite place for dinner in the evening (she’s planning a big lunchtime picnic with her friends).
So far, I have put in a dress which she saw online and liked, some Van Gogh inspired washi tape, some print paper for her sprocket, some fairy lights for a bit of her room which she said needed more (how many sets of fairy lights does any teen need? Answers on a postcard 🥴) I got a really lovey card and I have ordered her favourite sour pick n mix shop.
What else would you put in? No particular budget, just some nice little treats.
She’s very arty, is going on to college to study art, sociology and English, likes plants, doesn’t wear a lot of makeup but has what she likes already, very into fashion.

How about a nice journal.
We've bought DD Dr Martens shoes- they are expensive but she's been looking for them since Jan (couldn't get the colour) & has been working hard in a horrible summer job.

And a quirky face mask!

Funnily enough she just spent her birthday money on some DMs Grin
And she has a couple of nice face masks. Good ideas though, thank you!

Journal might be a good idea. She got into bullet journaling a little while ago but didn’t keep it up beyond a few months, she said she’d started off too complicated and it really needed to be made simpler from the beginning. She prefers dotted notebooks rather than lined anyway, I’ll have a look and see what I can find.

I'm sure she'll be chuffed. This is from Waterstones which mine will roll her eyes at but hey - I am that lame mum.

That’s not lame, it’s cute.
