I have no idea where to post this, sorry! But I had an elderly neighbour call me today telling me to help myself to her raspberries and eating apples as she won't be home for a good few months. Then another friend asked if I like plums and pears, I said yes, she said her DH will drop a ton round tomorrow!

How can I best preserve these or turn them into something amazing? I also have a crab apple tree due to burst at any time. I would love to somehow preserve these, make them into something and give back to say thank you? And to share with my other neighbours. My freezer is minuscule so I can't batch freeze crumbles and pies but could give out fresh ones. I've never made jam or chutneys but am worried about the sterilising of jars and general equipment required.

I've only lived where I do less than 2yrs and this is the first time I've had this fabulous dilemma!

Please, any recipes or suggestions, ways of preserving, anything really would be so welcomed. Thank you in advance! 😘

My mum freezes raspberries and you can do the same with apples. Think you have to peel and put in salt water first to stop them going brown.

Sorry just seen the bit about your small freezer.
