What’s Happening In Your House?

Was planning to go for a swim in the sea late afternoon to avoid the crowds of tourists but can’t be bothered. 70p bargain pizza from Co op about to go in the oven. DD11 is refusing anything & DH will sort himself out later. Really need to go through the piles of clothes in our bedroom & try some on. I’m not working until Thursday so hoping to plan a few trips, although DD is reluctant to leave the pit she calls her room. I can’t bear to look at it! One of our bunnies is out on the lawn. DH has groomed them all & they look so much better. He’s also cleaned out their hutches & sprayed them with anti fly strike stuff. Not much planned for this evening. I like watching Antiques Roadshow & I am catching up with “The Deceived” which is annoying me because the main male lead is incomprehensible! Surely you learn to speak clearly at drama school!

I just finished eating some homemade blackberry crumble that we made today with blackberries from my parents' garden. DDs finished theirs slightly before me and rushed off to sneak in some extra minecraft time. DH has gone camping with friends. I am about to start the long, drawn-out process that is DDs' bedtime. Bath (quick because it is already 7pm), DDs piss out not putting pyjamas on, pyjamas, DDs piss about not brushing teeth, teeth, read to DD1, read to DD2, DD2 get into bed and cries because DH is out, sit next to DD2 for literally hours until she stops moaning and goes to sleep (she is 5, not a baby BTW ), tell DD1 to stop reading and turn light off, listen to DD1 moan that DH is out and ramble about minecraft, drink wine.

DH is putting DS3 to bed. From what I can hear through the baby monitor it's not much fun on either side, but DH lets DS away with lots more at bedtime than I do and DS is playing on it!

DP is watching the rugby in the iPad. By the amount of swearing his team isn’t doing well.
I’m watching country file and thinking about what to make for tea.

happypotamus I need wine bigstyle! DD11 is so challenging!

Dh is eating his way through the fridge- we went to my mum’s yesterday and she still gives us food to take home!. I am reading. Dd is watching YouTube after a day of art coursework. Planning to watch a suitable boy later. The cat is watching birds on the windowsill

The pre-schooler is in bed but shouting she is way too hot even with a fan on full blast. We are laying on the bed in front of 2 fans melting into a puddle, talking about dinner but neither of us bothering to move. Its still 30 degrees here and just too hot to do anything.

We’ve had some bbq chicken, salad and pear crumble and are all lazing around.
Might watch a film in a bit or go for a walk. Decisions decisions.

One daughter is seething in her bedroom, the other is attempting to resurrect her laptop in the other, we're hiding in the lounge, with the curtains closed, the cooling tower on, and a vino, waiting in vein for it to be cool enough to go out and fire up the barbie for home-made pizzas.

DH is out.
DC1is outside having a waterfight witg friends.
DC2 is having a shower.
DC3 is arsing around in their cot trying to be charming and convince me it's not bedtime. He's super cute so doing quite a good job. 😂🙈

DD(7) is watching Frozen 2 again. She is too hot to sleep and woke up this morning at10.30 and now isn't tired. I will walk her little legs off tomorrow if it's not too warm, to break the cycle. DP is watching the F1 and chatting to me about it. I'm not listening.
I'm trying to think what to cook for dinner. Something easy and tasty!

DDog is in disgrace as she ran away after a pheasant and didn't come back when called! She's trying to sneak back onto the sofa.

Basically a lazy Sunday evening.

Update:Ddog has made it onto DP's sofa. He is too engrossed in the F1 to notice. She is v pleased with herself.

Sitting in the garden with DH having a bottle of wine, listening to some music and relaxing. Wev put up our old tent in the garden and DD 6 is currently in there with her iPad and a million cushions and blankets

DS3 and I came back from my mums today which meant he napped in the car, so after a lovely weekend all to himself, DH is in charge of bedtime. I have A/L to burn so have tomorrow & Tuesday off, so have popped a bottle of Prosecco and thrown open the patio doors.

(Apparently DS is doing press ups on his bed. I may have finished this bottle by the time he’s asleep!)

We've just eaten and now we're sprawled in four corners of the house trying to cool down. DD1 keeps ringing me from her room to talk bollocks about Harry Potter - she's too hot to come and talk to me personally. I need a wee but am too hot to move!

DS has gone to the beach with his friend and will stay the night, which means I don't have to and can get my early morning swim in tomorrow.

Ds has just got back from exh's. Dd is napping on the sofa again. I'm watching Come Dine With Me. Other than a bit of housework I've done very little all day tbh.

Just in from watering the garden. Opened all the windows as theres a breeze now but house is still hot. Had tea at 5, now nibbling on a stem ginger biscuit. Working out if I have everything ready for work tomorrow.

Just finished bathing DS, now going through what's become our 1.5-2 hour nightly routine of getting him to sleep (since the 18-month sleep regression hit). Once he's finally out for the night I'll be going downstairs and having a nice chilled glass of Sauvignon Blanc

We've had a lovely afternoon at the park with MIL and some other relatives who are visiting, then had pizza takeaway when we got home as we were all starving. It's been a good Sunday!

Eldest dd is walking her boyfriend home, dd2 is playing Wii sports, we're all enjoying the retro vibe. Ds is taking turns with dd2 but will soon go off in a huff if dd2 is better than him at any of the game.

Dcat2 is whining to be let out as he hates being in the house

Not that hot in Scotland.DD1 is crafting and making an exquisite tiger lily for a friend of mine in memory of her daughter. It looks very fragile though..I hope it will survive the post.
DS is in his room watching something on live stream. DH is in the kitchen on laptop and leaving a trail of cheese crumbs everywhere! I'm in bedroom with gin and MN.

Am flopped on the sofa with the fan on and all the windows open trying to cool down - still really hot though. Went for a (slow) 5k run this morning despite the heat, which I'm v pleased with myself about as I would usually find any excuse not to go 😁. Spent the afternoon gardening/lazing on a lounger and am now waiting for a bottle of wine to be chilled enough to open....

Currently dds are watching teen titans... waiting for the episode to end for fireworks to begin about not wanting to go to bed.

Dd2 will go first so story and about 20 million delay tactics.

Then watch an episode of once upon a time with dd1, then delay tactics round 2 😂

Can't send them at the same time as they wind each other up and argue.

Might make some dinner for myself amongst this but not really feeling hungry...

Then dh will be home about 10 😀

I'm slobbed out on the sofa with Ds1 cuddling me. He's had his bedtime story and now we're watching some documentary on iplayer about earth's natural wonders. Ds2 is in bed not sleeping, DH is in the shower and the cats are in the garden.

Not a lot going on here, I'm watching long lost families, dd2 is on Minecraft, dd1 is in her room, ds1 and ds2 are in bed but moaning they are hot.
We've had a very slow day, I tried to catch up on some laundry but we went out for dinner and drinks last night and we've both felt a bit delicate today!

DD3 (4) is in bed. I'm sat on the sofa waiting for ExDP to drop DDs 1&2 off. He's had them for 10 days and I've bloody missed them Although I'm glad that they've had a decent chunk of time with him this summer.
