Has anyone got any advice, my DD is 7 nearly 8 months old and she SCREAMS...proper ear piercing squealing screams. When she's bored. When she's hungry. When she's stuck. When she's objecting to something.

At my wit's end.

I thought she'd grow out of it.

It started about 6 weeks ago, went away, came back for a couple of weeks, went away, and has started again these past 10 days or so.

9 times out of 10, I can ignore it... but that one time. I just can't stand it.

Have tried ignoring her, and waiting until screaming has stopped before attending to her, distraction, saying "no!" Firmly, but still she screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeams.

She's gets plenty of attention during the day, and is generally a very happy and content baby. But I find my self getting cross and stopping myself from snapping....I don't want to be pushed to doing it saying something I'll regret....

Please help me :'(

My 12mth old has done this for the pasty few months. I do find it hard to listen to sometimes.its just their way of communicating. I've starting saying drink or whatever toy they want. Words help. My 1st did it awsell. She will grow out of it

I’m sorry you’re finding this difficult. If you feel yourself boiling over pop her in her crib and walk away for a few moments.

Aside from that is she teething? Or perhaps has colic?

💐 sending you these as I’ve been there too.
