living in carlisle

Hi, thinking of moving to Longsowerby in Carlisle - can anyone give any info please?

Hi, I will bump for you (not sure how much use it will be at this time of night though, you might be better posting in the property section). I’m from Carlisle but have been left a long time. I don’t really think Longsowerby is the nicest part of the city but probably offers reasonable value for money and decent transport links.

Do you know Carlisle at all? Have family or work there? The city is nice with reasonable amenities, schools, large-ish hospital, good access to countryside but can feel a bit cut-off - the nearest big city, Newcastle, is still more than an hour away - and job prospects can be a bit limited.
