Do you know how much weight you've lost in stones or kilos if you've lost 29 pounds?

Just watching an advert about weight loss and it's people talking about losing lots of pounds of weight.

Without Googling, how much weight is 29 lbs in stones or kilos?
I think it's 14 pounds is 1 stone - so roughly 2 stones.
I also think 1 stone is about 7 kilos? So that's 14 kilos.

Yep, 2 stones roughly. Not as good on kilos.

Yep, 14lbs to a stone so 2 stone 1lb.

1kg is 2.2lbs, so I can work it out but it takes me a bit longer

I wouldn't know in kilos but I know how many pounds are in a stone so I'd be able to work it out.

Yes - I use stones a lot and am happy with kilos. But rare for me to use pounds by themselves.

So when the person on the advert said they lost 29 pounds, I had to 'think a bit'.

But if they had said 2 stones, then that would have been much easier.

Was it the American sounding Noom advert? They talk in lbs don't they. I'd have a good idea because I know how many lb in a stone and 2.2lb to a kg.

I sometimes have to think between 16 ounces in a pound and 14 pounds in a stone - remembering how many go into each.

I can do lb to stone quite okay.

lb to kg is harder, I have to do the maths for that if I want it any more accurate than just dividing pounds by 2.

2.25*4 = 9 so 9lb = 4kg so 27lb is 12kg plus another one ish, so 13.

In America they use the calculation of women’s ideal weight being 100lbs + 5lbs for every inch over 5 feet in height, so if you’re 5’6” your healthy weight would be 100+30=130lbs. 9st 4.

So 100lbs is an easy round figure. Losing 29lbs means you’ve lost a large amount!

No idea. I'd have to google to convert to kg. I have no notion of what lbs or stones and lbs mean.

BTW in Italy they take your height in cm, take away 100cm and that is a rough (and very generous) guide to how many kilos you should weigh.
So 168cm -100= 68kg.
