What are your hobbies?

I am feeling quite isolated and lonely right now, moved area a year ago and haven't made any friends, don't have a social life. I realise I need to get out more, and can now my kids are older, its become very lonely now they are teens. But I also realise I have no hobbies at all so find it hard to meet people.
I am not sporty at all, hate gardening (can't even keep a plant alive for long), don't really like crafting. Basically all the usual hobbies people have

What sort of hobbies have you got that keeps your busy and gets you out and about?

Well, for busy - I love to learn languages, to read and I enjoy FutureLearn courses immensly, but that does not get me out of the house.

The things that used to get me out of the house are not possible at the moment, though sewing classes are starting up again.

Do you like animals? Dogs - borrow my doggy is great, you can walk someone's dog so you get outside and often dog walkers are quite chatty and you have something in common - the dogs.

I foster dogs and cats for local charities which is very rewarding and because they are small local ones I have got to know the other fosterers- again, something in common to chat about.

I do like animals, and we have wanted to get a dog for many years, I was hoping moving would give us that opportunity but I couldn't be choosy with the house I rent due to my circumstances and unfortunately my back garden is just too small, plus a rescue wouldn't consider me as I work F/T. So I did recently join borrow my doggy, but its seems most of the owners on there are not paid up members, so are not contactable, but yes that would of been ideal.
