Need some Scottish retreat recommendations

I need some time out. I need a few days (2/3 nights) away, to just chill and be away from people, work, life. The only person I'd want with me would be DC15, but he doesn't want to come, which is fine.

I'm in West of Scotland, near Paisley. I can drive, but won't drive to wherever I choose to go, as I'm not confident. Needs to be somewhere I can get to by train and then short taxi taxi if need be.

I've looked at the scenic train routes. And quite like the look of the route from Glasgow to Fort William, but I'm basically looking for any suggestions of nice locations, that won't be too busy, but will still be safe on my own. Where I can get out and see some lovely scenery. Modern accommodation, but not overly fancy.

Any recommendations of locations and/or accommodation welcome.

How about Oban? You can get the train and then you’re right in the town.

It can be busy but I think most places could be

What about one of the Hydros, peebles, Dunblane or Crieff? Crieff is a lovely area.

Arran. Always. Train to ardrossan & ferry over. Peaceful, lovely walks, scenery & great food.

We’ve just spent four nights at Glencoe house. It’s amazing! Log fires, woodland and mountain walks, a bath to die for, breakfast served in your suite (and dinner if you choose). Loved it because there are no communal spaces you hardly see another person. DH and I took the kiddies but next time we’ll go for a weekend on our own.

This place is amazing and you can be totally isolated. We went one New Years Eve for a week. It’s truly beautiful.

Samye Ling Buddhist Monastry in the Borders. It's very basic rooms with shared toilets and showers but a lovely place to recharge.
