Hi all, just wanted some opinions.I had a D&C (MMC at 9 weeks )on tues just gone, had minimal bleeding after then brown spotting only.Yesterday I had an active day so had period type pain in the night, today I woke up with dark red bleeding. So having gone from brown spotting(sorry for TMI) its gone to dark red bleeding.I have been told to keep an eye on it.But I suppose I wanted to know if anyone else has experienced something similar?I thought it was my period at first but that would have been too early after the D&C was done four days ago.

Was I supposed to have a light bleed like a period after the d&c...then after few weeks depending on if all cleared,an actual period? After my d&c...i had bit of red blood then it became all brown spotting for few days,no bleeding until today.

A D&C is a serious procedure. It's to be expected that you will have some bleeding. Take it easy and rest up.

Unfortunately, I have had three D&Cs following MMCs. I bled for weeks after each one and after many trips back to the GP and the hospital, ended up having another D&C after each of them. I don't think that this happens to many people, and was led to believe that it had something to do with the structure of my womb. Based on my own experience, it is definitely worth monitoring the bleeding very carefully and going to see your GP if it remains heavy.

I had little bleeding to start with ( maybe first two days after) then period like bleeding for about 7 days. All done within 2 weeks.
