What gin are you drinking?

I’m on Whitley Neill raspberry. I’m struggling for new flavours at the moment, I’ve decided I don’t like orange or lemon ones. I’m worried I won’t like gooseberry for instance. I am waiting for my local lidl to get the new Cocacaba flavour one, which I assume will be like Malibu.
What’s everyone else on?

Beefeater Pink, Parma Violet or Bombay Sapphire.
I've been wanting to try the Sipsmith Lemon Drizzle for years and treated myself during lockdown - what a huge disappointment! It doesn't taste like gin at all. Nor does it taste very lemony.
I like the idea of getting a local gin while on holiday. We're holidaying at home this week so will locate a distillery and give them my custom.

Forgot to say Mermaid gin too, and such a lovely bottle Grin

Littleyellowbowl · 08/08/2020 19:34

ASDA's Rhubarb and Ginger Gin Liquor is the absolute tits!

Blondebear123 · 08/08/2020 19:34

Malfy gin rosa. Lovely!

Dora26 · 08/08/2020 19:49

Also Gunpowder - so 2 Irish gins punching high! Love elderflower tonic

ThaGugaBlasta · 08/08/2020 19:55

Not a fan of flavoured gins. I like my gin to be gin-flavoured.

After a lot of tasting Hendricks is the hands-down fave in this house; currently drinking the delicious Lunar edition.

But for long drinks or in cocktails, the Lidl Hortus is really hard to beat.

RumAndRaisinIceCream · 08/08/2020 19:57

Silent Pool - love it and added bonus that it's a fairly local gin!

BeeyatchPlease · 08/08/2020 20:12

The only flavoured gins I can drink are Tanqueray Rangpur Lime or Sevilla, those are lovely. I'm much more of gin purist. I've got 3 bottles on the go at the moment:
Kirkjuvagr Orkney Gin
Isle of Harris Gin
Rock Rose Gin
They're all splendid and I picked them up from the distilleries

I did see cherry today and I quite fancy that, grown up cherryade!

Gin liqueur really isn't gin!

BestIsWest · 08/08/2020 22:04

It isn’t!

sproutsandparsnips · 08/08/2020 22:20

For a plain gin Bombay Sapphire, or Lidl Hortus. Got to be Fever Tree tonic - Mediterranean or occasionally angostura bitters.
Flavoured: Lidl Hortus Blackberry and violet or blackberry and raspberry
Whitley Neill Bramble gin
Fancy pink grapefruit but not had a bottle yet.

QueenofLouisiana · 08/08/2020 23:06

Penrhos Apple and elderflower for a flavoured one
Suffolk Dry Gin from my local distillery for a plain one.
In close second are Whitely Neil Quince or Silent Pool.

Sheknowsaboutme · 09/08/2020 08:37

My own blackberry gin. Bloody lovely!

BIWI · 09/08/2020 09:47

Bought Mirabeau Rosé gin from Waitrose last week and it was fabulous.

From the tasting notes:

At its core Mirabeau Rosé Gin is a classic Dry Gin. Mirabeau has used a 100% grape-based neutral spirit which adds roundness and subtle fruitiness to the palate. The addition of some Mirabeau Classic Rosé gives luxurious texture to the finished Gin. Lemons and Coriander add layers of fresh citrus character. Orris and Angelica roots impart floral and earthy tones respectively. Rose Petals, Lavender and Jasmine are used sparingly to bring a variety of floral tones. Finally, Bay, Thyme and Rosemary add a finely balanced herbaceous character to the blend.

Aldi peach and orange blossom or aldi mango and passionfruit. Both gorgeous

notacooldad · 09/08/2020 10:06

I’ve not had sloe gin in years!
Neither had i until last night.
I asked DH to make up a cocktail for me so he used sloe gin, vermouth and lemonade.
He has called it the 'Cathy talks shite' cocktail after I had two ( large ) ones!

JaJaDingDong · 09/08/2020 10:25

We make sloe gin every year. It's easy to make, and a great Christmas drink.

We make blackberry whisky too - really, really nice. And the whisky infused blackberries are nice on porridge on a cold winter morning.

FineWithWine · 09/08/2020 10:35

GinWithASplashOfTonic · 09/08/2020 10:37

Or
My dads homemade infused with botanicals Gordon's gin

Obvs not @ 10:40am this morning but at 10:40pm last night

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 09/08/2020 10:46

Chase GB gin. I haven't tried many flavoured gins but didn't like the ones I have. I like the "cleanness" of a straight gin and Fever Tree tonic.

LivingInTheBackOfBeyond · 09/08/2020 14:09

Adnams Copper House pink gin, with Fever Tree tonic and fresh raspberries.
