Can I get soppy for a minute??

I have 2 daughters, my oldest turns 7 on Monday. In between the girls I had 2 miscarriages. My first was the same week as my oldest daughters 2nd birthday.

I’m not religious, no specific belief in an afterlife but I’ve always thought of my babies as butterflies and there are often butterflies in our garden.

Tonight there was 1 particular butterfly that kept fluttering round us. It lightly touched DD2 twice, then landed on me for a second. Then landed on DD1, and stayed.

I’m not woo. I know it was just a butterfly but still ...

Can I get soppy for a minute??
