Is it possible to meet someone nowadays?

I'm 42 and a lp to a 9 year old.

I've always thought that the time would come when I'd meet someone but now with covid and how we're having to live, I just feel like it's probably never going to happen.
It's made even harder because I literally go nowhere to meet anyone.
I'm a ft mature student at uni so I don't go to work and now I don't even go to the pub! At most I go to Aldi twice a month!

Going to campus next year is also essentially cancelled so I'll be home alone every single day. At most I may have one day on campus to work in a 'bubble'

There's no hope is there. Feeling very down about this tonight.

Covid will not last forever. You just need to be patient and wait a while

I've realised this too... pubs / bars / clubs are out for me as you have to leave your details & if any patrons go down with Covid you have to self isolate for 2 weeks which I just can't do in my job.

At work the men are mainly married or players, there's a couple of singles I have no spark with...

I'm too nervous to try OLD currently although that is an option, a colleagues daughter just recently met a nice boyfriend on Tinder.

I'm a member of a gym so will go back there maybe starting my day off Wednesday, there were always some fit men there... and there's a socially distanced coffee shop nearby where you don't leave your details!
So there's some hope!
