Meeting New Team Virtually - Cringe Worthy

So started my new job Wednesday. Had a virtual team chat today where work discussions not allowed. They all told me one story about themselves. My managers manager who was leading went on about his crush on Kylie until he sat next to her once, and she was like some little doll as she was so small. It spoilt the illusion and he couldn't be bothered to have a photo.

But I am smaller! Don't know whether to be amused for when he meets me or annoyed.

What do you think?

I'd be trying to forget the cringey stories so I wouldn't show a reaction at all. Not sure why Kylie being petite would dispel a crush, though. However, presumably he doesn't have a crush on you and you wouldn't want him to, so it shouldn't be relevant that his preference is for taller/bigger women.

eek cringe! Why would he not have a photo with Kylie? I certainly don't fancy her but would love the photo. It sounds like a made up story to me. Keep a close eye on him.

It was the way he describe her as a tiny women and doll like, like they were negative attributes. He was rather descriptive of it.

The point I am trying to make is that he was describing the physical attributes of someone in a very negative manner, during a team call. He hasn't met me, and I fit his negative descriptions. I am sure if he decribed a fat person or a person of a different ethnicity in that manner, it would not have been acceptable.

Anyway, nevermind.
