Nappy rash

DD 9 months don't know if it's connected to teething! Started as one spot now spread to many spots all over bum! What's best to apply?

My DS had terrible nappy rash. We tried the following:

Bepanthen
Sudocrem
Every day metanium
yellow metanium
canesten type cream (given by the doctor)
however the only thing that shifted it in the end was timodene on prescription. And lots of nappy free time.

As much free time as possible, only use water and cotton wool to clean, daily bath and use the thinest layer possible of metanium.
