Ds1 obsessing over weight training.

We are on holiday. Camping in France. We don't live in the UK.

DS1 is 15 and trains with weights a lot. He's made "big gains", as he calls it, over the last year.

He refuses to come out with us to the beach etc because he thinks he's lost weight over the last week away camping. He says he's "insecure" about it.

So in 38 degrees, he's sitting in a tent.

He says he's never coming away again because it means being away from his weights.

He is being utterly irrational.

All this sounds barking to me and also like he's on the road to body dysmorphia.

Do I just leave him in the tent to sweat all day?

It's just bloody ridiculous. We are are by the sea. He can go surfing. Paddle boarding. Kite flying. Swimming.

Google “big gains” and steroids. I think it was schwartznegger came up with the term “big gains”.

He's got no money. I don't know how he'd get hold of any steroids.

He barely leaves the house. Doesn't get any post.
