Don't know where to start... mum is in hospital and unlikely to make it til next weekend, we can't visit and it's all quite upsetting.

It's my brother's birthday next weekend... I'm trying to Make it a thing because he's 40
And it's shit for him.

Additionally, my dad is not that well and he loves fruit cake.

So, I'm after a gluten free fruit cake that is iced, that I can have delivered (for my decorating) on Fri 14 Aug.

I'd love any recommendations so I can order it ASAP.

Thank you

Does it need to be round?
loaf one here.
Will keep looking!

Sorry you are having a difficult time. I'm a bit confused though. Do you want a gluten free fruit cake recipe, or a company that makes and delivers them? Are you decorating it then getting a company to deliver? Where in the country are you? Confused

I think the op is after a plain iced cake she can add more decorations to herself

Have you tried M&S ? They do a good range of GF celebration cakes that you can decorate yourself. I’m sure they’d have a fruit cake.

MarkRuffaloCrumble · 06/08/2020 19:29

Oh maybe not - just had a look. One cake made of actual cheese! And one biscuity looking thing. Sorry. Wonder if they’ve reduced their range?

Mrsmorton · 06/08/2020 20:04

@Marmite27 has it. Sorry for not being clear. I genuinely don't care what shape it is! M&S is a good steer, there's a chance I could get to a store to pick one up.

I just want to make his birthday special... but with extra food for dad. 😣

Have you tried ringing some bakeries near you? Could you make it yourself, then buy pre-prepared icing?

I'm not sure what area of the country you are in, but here are some links. The last 2 links are fruit cakes, whereas the 1st too arent, but are glutn free and look delicious:

Thank you @Elouera I looked at those sites but sadly none are able to deliver on time.

My amazing next door neighbour is making one. I'm working away with only a
Kettle and microwave otherwise I would have made it myself.

I'm glad the neighbour is able to help then. Thanks for the update Flowers
