Wild Bean Cafe

Not sure if I should be posting here but I'm sure someone will tell me :)

I shop regularly at my local M&S franchise. I pay M&S prices for the food we eat from there. I also shop at other supermarkets and at M&S food outlets, but The Wild Bean Cafe is very close and handy.
I object to having to pay top prices for second grade food. I am sick of buying bananas that are not fresh. I am fed up of opening the pack up and putting my fingers through soft and squishy bananas that I have paid a lot of money for.
It's the fresh fruit in general that gets the thumbs down for me. The berries won't stand being left in the fridge overnight - they are already old when I buy them !
I'm not going to say which one it is as it would be an outing for staff members who tell me it's not their fault - they have to deal with whatever M&S sends them and they know the food is substandard.
It seems that since they are a franchise, they have to put out on the shelves what M&S decides to send which is basically the arse end of what the other main outlets do not want.
I wish they would clean up their act. I find it insulting and an annoyance when I call in for essentials that I need right now and they fail to deliver over and over again,

Clean up your act please !

So you continue to shop somewhere you know is substandard just because it says M&S on it? That’s one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever heard. Abandon it. Find a better shop.

Eh?

Wild Bean Cafe and M&S are linked because BP have installed franchises of both at their fuel stations, Wild Bean has no control over or other connection to M&S and vice versa.

But yes, franchising is the issue. Again, M&S themselves probably aren’t to blame (in fact, operators have very strict rules for franchisees, in order to protect their brand) so if your local is providing poor goods it’s because the franchise is cutting corners or has poor management. Complain to M&S, if you want improvements.

Thank you for this info. I suppose everyone will blame everyone else for this. I expect they are cutting corners and will continue to do so unless people stop buying . It's just so annoying when I am looking after grandchildren and need something quickly and they let the customer down. I will complain again
