Should I pursue 20 quid?

Really not sure what to do, but can’t seem to take my mind of it. I had booked for professional carpet cleaning 2 weeks back on a weekday. While talking to them I mentioned we had cancelled few appointments etc to fit in that day. On the mentioned day they never turned up and when I called them an hour later they said because of some problem with the van they couldn’t reach. I told them how upset I was as I had to move lot of appointments around for this. I was more upset that they didn’t inform me until I called them. So the lady who spoke with me apologised profusely and offered a 20 pound discount and booked for another day and I said ok
On the mentioned day they came with gadgets and finished everything with half an hour. It felt so rushed and none of the stains in the carpet went off, but I was ok with cleaning as my DD was constantly playing. When it was time to give the review I said I am not completely satisfied. I waited until next week for the refund to appear in my bad account but nothing, so I called them and they said it’s mentioned in the system but it should be dealt by accounts department and will be done in due course.
I called 2 days after this and got the same explanation. My husband is telling me to leave it as it’s not worth calling again and again.m but I am not convinced after all it’s not something I asked, they offered it and they should refund. Please advise if I should take it further or just leave it as it is?

You paid for the carpet to be cleaned, and it's not? If that's the case I'd say this is the bigger problem really.

Posted before finished.

What do you mean by but I was ok with cleaning as my DD was constantly playing ?

Oops sorry didn’t realise it. My daughter just started walking and for some reason she likes to just lay down in the carpet. It made me very uncomfortable hi king of dust and germs even though I hoover it every other day . So I thought a carpet wash would be good to get rid of the germs etc. So after the hot water washing which was done, the small stains like food stains never went off, but I was just glad the carpet was washed at the end of the day.

I probably wouldn’t bother. Dh would pursue up to and including taking them to bankruptcy court if necessary.

For this reason dh does all the “customer service” stuff in our house. Grin

He is awesome at it and it is nice for men to have a hobby. Grin

Hmm. I'd expect a clean carpet, seeing as that's the service you've paid for.
