I’m not expecting but thinking of future names... what do you think of Delta Belle Rosa surname for a girl? Thanks

OP posts:
QuantamBaby · 05/08/2020 23:41

Delta just makes me think of the airline, or Delta Force.

Delta Bella Rose sound like a code name for a military operation ...

CoffeeRunner · 05/08/2020 23:42

Do you like Delphi?

A classic but not commonly used name. Totally not associated with an airline.

Happymum12345 · 05/08/2020 23:45

I love all the names!

Dreadful.

I'd think

Delta Dawn, what's that flower you have on?
Could it be a faded rose from days gone by?
And did I hear you say he was a-meeting you here today
To take you to his mansion in the sky?

But I suspect I'm in a minority.

Catsup · 06/08/2020 00:04

I thought of Delta Goodrem and not the airline first.

MrsAvocet · 06/08/2020 00:27

Sounds like it should belong to a Country & Western singer to me. Can't say I'm a fan sorry.

PickAChew · 06/08/2020 00:29

Delta Bella Rosa Johnson.

Nah.

Wavescrashingonthebeach · 06/08/2020 00:30

Delta is a taxi firm where i live. Im humming the radio tune as i type.

The three names together makes me imagine an army person shouting them over a walkie talkie.

Sorry!!

Wavescrashingonthebeach · 06/08/2020 00:31

Bella Rose is nice.

Its just the Delta in front. I work in customer service over the phone so use the phonetic alphabet A LOT

Deadringer · 06/08/2020 00:32

Rosa Belle is nice.

Wavescrashingonthebeach · 06/08/2020 00:33

Or the Niger Delta as pp said in relation to geography.

stellabelle · 06/08/2020 00:45

I'm in Australia - Delta Goodrem is a very popular singer here, and she is a judge on "The Voice". So the name is very well loved here. I personally like the name a lot - all three sound lovely to me.

Thisisanillegalbingogame · 06/08/2020 00:54

I like it. If you like it, stick to your guns and go with it. I always think babies become their name, if that makes sense, and you very quickly can’t imagine them to be called anything else.

lukasiak · 06/08/2020 01:15

Like them individually, together they sound like a sorority house...and Im not even American.

Tippexy · 06/08/2020 01:21

Horrific

dontgobaconmyheart · 06/08/2020 01:29

I think it just sounds like some random words chucked together to be honest, it's overkill and deginity has phonetic alphabet parallels. Each to their own though, not something I can get too worked up about.

As an adult I've just changed my name entirely because I've never liked it.

PercyKirke · 06/08/2020 02:50

No. Just no.

PercyKirke · 06/08/2020 02:51

Me too pallisers.

Pieceofpurplesky · 06/08/2020 03:08

Delta Blues = early blues music (very cool name)
Delta airlines and Amex card

Oncemorewithfeelin · 06/08/2020 03:08

I thought of delta goodrem first too

lborgia · 06/08/2020 06:34

Mm, yes we have Delta here, but that does not mean we all love the name (or her, after the stuff I've heard about her frankly).

It's not a human name, it's the Greek letter D, and is used as a geographical term... hence ending up as an airline name.

Please be kind to your child, don't use them as an opportunity to make your mark. That's what YOUR life is for.

Napqueen1234 · 06/08/2020 06:37

Sorry don’t like Delta for all reasons pp have said. Also usually if you’re naming a child after someone eg grandmother you’d use their actual name ie Rose instead of Rosa?

HeronLanyon · 06/08/2020 06:43

Are you in the US ? Sounds like a southern white name perhaps with a confederate flag somewhere in the household.
If in the uk I think of the airline then if river deltas and flooding and disasters.
Delia ?

MarinaMarinara · 06/08/2020 06:46

The country troll queen in Trolls world tour is called Delta (after the Delta Dawn song). So I think of a pony/troll hybrid with Dolly Parton hair. [misses point]

More to the point - too many a endings, that is part of why it sounds like a call sign. I would personally prefer Rose to Rosa too - but that is pure personal preference.
