I'm a fitbit wanker! Bloody love it!

I've wanted one for a while, but I wanted the versa so I could wear it swimming. I've saved up, bit the bullet and bought it (even though I won't be wearing it swimming for a while just yet!).

Gosh, it's good. I'm adding my water, logging my food, I've set my goals. I logged last nights sleep, it's fascinating. And motivating.

Anyone else enamoured with theirs?

I used to love my Fitbit! I have an Apple Watch now tho 🙂

ShirleyPhallus · 05/08/2020 19:18

Oh god me too, it’s really embarrassing cos I think they’re totally unstylish and pretty naff but it is excellent to see how hard your workout is

Can’t be arsed with logging water and stuff

And I have a 4 month old so the sleep analysis is constantly poor or fair

But otherwise, it’s excellent!

schoolcook · 05/08/2020 19:21

I like mine because it keeps me accountable.
Without it I'd exercise 5 times a month rather than a week !
I love Fitbit pay too.

My mate loves her apple watch. We're total bores!

Haven't set up fitbit pay, maybe I should if it's as good as everything else.

The sleep is fascinating, although I don't think I could have coped with a visual representation of how bad it was when I had a 4 month old!

The sleep analysis is beyond depressing with a baby. Mine often said I was sleeping when I most definitely wasn’t, I was just in bed breastfeeding for hours on end! The only thing more annoying than not sleeping is your Fitbit thinking you’re sleeping.

I love when it auto logs exercise when I haven’t been exercising at all. My favourite is drying hair gets logged as swimming.

I’m obsessed with getting my 250 steps in every hour. And logging activity minutes.

swampytiggaa · 05/08/2020 20:03

Apple Pay is amazing. So definitely set up Fitbit pay. Can’t remember the last time I used cash or card!

schoolcook · 05/08/2020 21:31

The only thing I will say is if the shops WiFi is down Fitbit pay and Apple Pay won't work so stash an emergency card too !

Enchantmentz · 05/08/2020 22:55

I had a love hate relationship with my fitbit hr, mostly because I kept having skin reactions to the rubber strap after a couple days meaning I couldn't wear it again until it cleared up. Changed the strap to a fabric one and haven't taking off since except for showers, charging etc. Love watching my bpm improve over time, I spend a lot of time in fat burning mode with little effort or result.Grin

PowerslidePanda · 05/08/2020 23:00

Oh yes! You think, "Wow, that was a bad night - let's see just how bad" and your Fitbit goes, "Nah, it was fine - you got 6 hours." No I didn't! Angry

Despite that, I'm also a recent convert and I do generally love my Fitbit Grin

I loved my Fitbit! I really liked the community bit too- I never posted but I loved how supportive everyone was. I bought an Apple Watch last year and spent a fortune on it and it wasn’t worth it, I found the Fitbit to be much better.

dappledsunshine · 05/08/2020 23:19

I've just got a Fitbit too and am becoming slightly obsessed. So much so I've just come in from pacing the garden so I could reach my 10k steps today Blush

orangeicecream · 05/08/2020 23:33

Love my fitbit.... Anyone fancy a challenge?

thewalkers · 06/08/2020 01:55

This thread is encouraging, I've spent ages looking at what Fitbit to get and think I'll get the charge 4.

schoolcook · 06/08/2020 07:44

I bought the three because the reviews for the 4 all criticised the battery life.

Wallybigboots · 06/08/2020 07:48

I bought a Charge 4 last night.Hoping it will arrive by tomorrow. Can't wait to start using it.

Rowgtfc72 · 06/08/2020 07:51

Just started logging my food on my charge 2. I've only had it 3 yrs!

Rosesarere · 06/08/2020 07:52

I have a huwaei phone and can never get my fitbit to sync, I have contacted customer service but no luck. Does anyone else have this problem?

I’ve used Apple Pay on my watch for 3 years now and I live in the sticks. Never had a problem with paying.

Plus if the card reader relies on WiFi it won’t be able to take any card payment if it is down...

I ordered the 3 instead of the 4 last night. I don't think I need gprs.
Rowgtfc72 · 06/08/2020 11:24

@Rosesarere my fitbit refused to sync to my samsung for 3 months. Had to uninstall it and download the new version. No problems since.

I have a huwawei.

The only trouble I had was getting the wifi sorted for set up. I turned my phone off and back in and it was fine.

Sorry I don't know how to reply to row... I followed your instructions and so far so good, thank you

MrsBlobby43 · 06/08/2020 21:10

I love mine. I'm slightly obsessed with getting all my steps in! In often found wandering around the house late at night Grin

TonTonMacoute · 06/08/2020 21:39

I love mine too.

I had a Flex a few years ago, which was quite good, but I now have the Inspire HR and it is so much better. I am also a bit obsessed by the sleep aspect, and I have it linked with My Fitness Pal which works brilliantly. I even took it on holiday with me this year!

I have always found customer service to be very good.

Being a bit of an Apple nut I did look at the Apple Watch but it was so expensive and, as I'm so old and my eyes don't work properly, I can't see the screen. The Fitbit app on the iPad works much better for me

wormshock · 06/08/2020 21:58

I love mine, it's helped me lose 3 1/2 stone in lockdown! I do the challenges to keep me motivated.
