Would you move now or wait?

just what the title says really....
I’m thinking of moving house, haven’t Seen anything I am overly interested in but I’m keeping an eye on the local market. DH thinks we should wait until next year given the state of the economy and possible recession. I think we should go ahead and if we see something, we should go for it.
Spoke to my DM and she agrees with DH.
Anyone in a similar position?

So many variables... are you likely to made redundant? Would it be better to get a mortgage now? Could you afford it? Would you be able to move in a year if you lose your jobs? Is the area you are in/you want to move to particularly desirable at the moment? Will you benefit from the stamp duty reduction? Do you need to move? How long do you intend to stay in your next house (and will you be able to ride out any big market swings)?
