What have I done to my back?

I was doing a hiit this morning using kettlebells. I was doing a squat with pull up (pulling kettlebell up in upward rowing motion) when I got distracted by ds (pouring milk over the floor). I think I must have done the move wrong at that point. I’ve been in agony (pain has not been continual- has flared up and calmed throughout the day). It is painful on the shoulder blade area and towards the spine but not across the whole of my back. Any ideas what I have done?

I’m gutted as I’ve upped my fitness lately and have toned up and started to get in decent shape. Do I have to rest completely now or can I do leg excercises that don’t impact on my upper body?

Obviously I'm not a doctor, but with my history of back problems I would say be careful. You might have pulled a muscle in the top of your back, which would require some decent rest. I wouldn't do the leg exercises in case they strain it.

Thanks for replying. I’m sure you’re right. I had a bulging disc in my last pregnancy and should know to be careful. It’s not wanted to hear as I was so happy to finally get on top of my fitness And it was lovely feeling trimmer. I’m assuming this is a couple of weeks rest (at least) rather than days... I think I know the answer to this 🙈

And I also I know it’s ridiculous that I’m asking a bunch of strangers who can’t see my back or know how I did it. Just clutching at straws!!
