Long story short I ordered a bookcase from Ikea but they delivered something else. I’ve had a hell of a job getting in touch with their customer services. Once they finally responded they told me they couldn’t collect the unwanted goods for weeks. They also said they would refund me for the bookcase.
Well it’s now a month later and no refund has arrived. After over a week and many messages they have finally replied to say they won’t refund the bookcase until after they’ve collected the item they delivered instead.
Can they do this?? It’s been over a month now and I’ve no bookcase, no money and great big boxes blocking up my hallway that Ikea have refused to collect for 3 weeks.
My other concern is that they will collect the unwanted items and still not refund me. Their customer services have gone completely downhill and if you look online there are hundreds of similar complaints to mine.
