Hand suddenly stiff, sore and swollen?

I was cooking dinner and when I sat down to eat I noticed my middle finger felt sore, then all the joints of that hand. I’ve tried a bath and ice and it is still sore, stiff and slightly swollen along the joints... has anyone had this?
Am thinking maybe I pulled a muscle in my hand? When I google it says arthritis but I’m young and never had this before. It’s not numb and the rest of that side of my body is fine so I don’t think stroke or anything too serious (I hope). I will ring 111 if it persists but just wondered if anyone has any idea what it could be?

Sounds like a GP appointment rather than 111. Hope it feels better soon.

There are lots of different sorts of arthritis and it doesn’t just affect older people - I developed juvenile arthritis at 14

Do you have psoriasis? If so it could be psoriatic arthritis.

Insect bite, especially if it's hot too.

I developed psoriatic arthritis at 34. And it came on pretty quickly too. Make a GP appointment not 111
