Looking for suggestions for funny films that my dc 14 and 12 (nearly 13) can watch. They thought Happy Gilmore was hilarious this evening but I’m struggling to think of others as lots of funny films are a 15 and perhaps too grown up.

Also any suggestions for action film series? They’ve seen Hunger Games, Harry Potter, Batman franchise and all the Marvel films.

Ace Ventura, the Mask, the Wedding Singer, the Water Boy, Liar Liar, Wayne's World, Men in Black, Rush Hour, Shanghai Hustle, Cool Runnings, Sister Act, Spaceballs

Then there are the romcoms, like Clueless, Bring it On, 10 things I hate about you, she's all that

Wow that was more than I thought I would remember! Just wrote down all my favourite films Grin

What about Grown Ups and Grown Ups 2? It had Adam Sandler in it and the guy from King of Queens.

Oh and Miss Congeniality. Loved that one growing up. Parent Trap etc

Nomorewineever · 02/08/2020 22:41

Uncle buck
The money pit
Dirty rotten scoundrels
Mouse hunt
Ferris buellers day off
All episodes of fawlty towers

Mine are similar age and watched dumb and dumber. There is a scene where he lifts a girls skirt to see her bum but that’s about it. Avoid dumb and dumber 2 though that’s more adult.

Me and my 12 year old DS have been watching the 3 x Mighty Ducks films about the young ice hockey team. He was giggling a lot and isn't a sports fan!

Pixels is another one worth watching. My 2 are similar ages and it is their favourite film!

HansBanans · 02/08/2020 22:50

@Nomorewineever I forgot about Uncle Buck!

Also, what about Coming to America? That's an amazing film!

Theromanempire · 02/08/2020 22:51

Also Daddys Home 1 and 2 - they are similar in style to Happy Gilmour.

Dumb and Dumber
Groundhog Day
The Trueman show
Liar Liar
