Have you ever used a male escort?

Just curious really!

I spent last night with a male escort. Not actually as a client but 'personal'. We connected on a dating app and he was very open about what he does, and since neither of us are looking for anything serious, I thought that as long as we were safe I would still like to see him

Ended up having without a doubt the most incredible night of my life, and when I was telling a friend about it this morning and she jokingly asked if he was with his rates, I honestly said I would pay double (even if I was getting about £500 worth of his 'services' free ).

It got me thinking, there is obviously a market for this out there and obviously discretion is key so whilst I probably think I don't know anyone who has used a male escort, there must be women I know who have. Do you hire escorts for events clickandforget? Hiring a pa or a minder from a recruitment agency would be cheaper than £200 an hour. I'm still not quite getting it

I was just thinking someone was bound to ask that. No I've never hired an escort for anything. Only events I attend are weddings, funerals and birthdays. I do know someone who does though (not a friend, more an acquaintance) I was part of a group conversation when she brought it up once. I don't know why she chooses to hire an escort rather than employ a PA. Maybe because events are infrequent and only a few hours at a time? She can get the same person each time? Maybe it's more convenient. No idea if it would be cheaper. Wouldn't there be some employment costs to consider? I'm simply making the point that none of it is anything to do with sex.

The market for exclusively straight male escorts is tiny because any woman who wants sex can very easily get as much of it as she wants for free by going on Tinder and indicating that she wants ‘no-strings fun’. She will be inundated with offers.

There may be a very small number of affluent women who are prepared to pay for a professional who will provide a good service and complete discretion, but not many!

There was a documentary on TV about it several years ago. This was about male prostitutes though, not genuine escorts. It seemed very seedy to me.

Just because he has an add directed at female clients saying he's straight doesn't mean he doesn't also have an advert directed at male clients elsewhere saying he's gay.

I mean he's hardly going to advertise on an ad to women that he's also a rent boy.

Does he have a day time job? If not my guess is he's also having sex with men. You can't make enough to work as a male prostitute full time from just women. The demand isn't there.

If you want to find a man for good sex, can I suggest avoiding tinder and being extremely detailed about what you are looking for on more specialist websites. Choose the right ones and they come with reviews

You don't even take your partner to most corporate events anymore. This isn't the 1950s. You usually go with colleagues. If it was a plus 1 event why not take a friend?

I was thinking about starting an ask me anything thread for those who may be curious. I may still do that.

My experiences have been many and varied from truly outstanding to quite awful and some mediocre in between. It started out mainly about the sex but became more about fun and companionship over time.

The shortest encounters were a few hours. There have been quite a few weekend breaks and the longest was a two week holiday in New Zealand.

I was dating in the days before Tinder admittedly but I couldn't always get sex when I wanted it. I always feel a bit inadequate when MNetters seem to be turning down offers right, left and centre.

If you could guarantee it was safe, disease free, clean and wasn't going to do anyone psychological harm then I could see myself treating myself to a professional shag. Like a treat for myself for my birthday ... like a massage only better. I find the idea quite appealing!

However having said that I'd want them to put the effort in. I'd want that satisfaction or your money back guarantee. I'd want a build up to create an atmosphere, proper foreplay and I'd want a cuddle afterwards etc. Couldn't just be an in and out job .

I think the fantasy is almost definitely better than the reality which I can see being a bit grim. I don't think you can guarantee safety etc. You never really know why someone does it so will just stick with Indian head massages for now!
