Would you get a Covid test for snotty sneezy kids?

My kids have been sneezing all day and are now very snotty. They are 2 and 6. The 2 year old has just been sick (assuming from the phlegm). No temperature, cough etc. Would you get a Covid test or see if further symptoms develop? I’ll obviously keep them at home until they are better.

I want to do the right thing but not put them through the test unnecessarily.

If you do test, best on an empty stomach. The throat swab should make you gag if done correctly (mine was done correctly and it did) and Gdd’s made her throw up all over dd’s car.

I ended up getting her tested for nursery. I didn’t need to worry it was so quick and easy and wasn’t traumatic for her at all! Got the result early the next morning and thankfully it was negative.
