Constant anxiety after birth

So basically, I gave birth 5 days ago and my mental health has been awful.

I am so down for the majority of the day, especially in the evening when I'm also struggling to eat, and feeling very tearful. I feel extremely worried about my baby all the time, and the idea of SIDS is taking over my brain for most of the day. Other people holding him puts me on edge (excluding his dad) we're living with the baby's grandparents and they hold him sometimes, and I don't step in their way, but I find myself hating every second of it. Is this normal?

Sorry you're feeling like this OP, this does sound more than "baby blues"

Please do talk to your health visitor or dr, they will be really understanding and helpful. I battled on until DD was 8 months and I really regret all those months I struggled Thanks
