Two in the same room

We have a 14 month old DD and I'm expecting our second early next year. Once the new baby is 6 months we are planning on putting them in the same room. It's not a massive room but you can fit 2 beds and then we will move to bunk beds once they are old enough.

Is it realistic to have a 6 month old and a 21 month old in the same room or will they just be waking each other up the whole time?

Mine shared a room from around the same age up until they were 14 & 16. It was fine.

Occasionally they'd wake each other up but mostly slept through disturbance from the other including one time when one threw up over over the cot side, narrowly missing his brother's head (the cot and bed were positioned in a L shape).
